Ideas for Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s Day has been celebrated last month and yes, every child has gifts for their dads. I even have one for mine. But sometimes we tend to give without thinking what will be its effect to our fathers. Like me, my father is already old so we need to monitor his health, giving him sugar free father’s day gifts is one great gift for him that he would appreciate. Most fathers appreciate their child’s gifts especially if it shows their children’s love to them.

Giving them something sweet and sugar free shows our love and concern for them so I am suggesting to my friends and loved ones to think over of what would they give for their fathers.

GT: Memorable High School Moment

Today’s topic for Girl’s Talk is the Most Memorable High School Moment. I have so many memories during my high school year maybe because I have enjoyed my high school life. I was one of the, let’s just say, famous during my high school time (for the record, this is not bragging LOL).

During my high school life, I have so many achievements and I am a member of almost all of the organizations in our school, aside from the fact that I am a member of the School Band and am the School Seal. I am a member of the Benedictine Society (which is the official choir every Friday Mass, my school is a Catholic one).  I am also a member of the Math Club and English Club at the same time. I am also a member of a dance troupe and the cheering squad. Oh girl, I was so busy during my high school days and yet I became the Valedictorian and the School Organization President during my fourth year.

I don’t know how I managed my time way back then, because now that I am viewing my high school picture album, I am so kind of busy with the co-curricular activities.

I cannot forget that I didn’t win any seat in the School Organization from first year to third year, my best friend choi2 always beat me in the race and yet when I run for the School President during Fourth Year, I won. Then there was this boy who is a transferee from other city who is a cutie, and made me enemies with my girlfriends. Why? Well, aside from the fact that he is hot, he, kind of like girls a lot, so he went on courting each one of us in my girl group. Then there was this one time in which I was so pissed for Valentine’s Day because our fund drive is not making money, nobody is buying our readymade Valentine’s Cards but it all changed when our CAT officer asked all his aspirants to bring roses and gave it to me. I am happy but still, our fund drive was at a loss (HAHAHA).

I still have many memorable events in my High School Life but this post is too long already, so maybe I’ll share it next time.

Tuesday Travels: My Favorite Hangout

Today is Tuesday again and I would love to do my share for Tuesday Travels. Topic for today is all about my favorite hangout. If I am in College this question would be so easy to answer because there are only two places where I always stay, Dunkin Donuts-Divisoria and XU Library. But now my favorite hangout is my little office and my son’s school.

Everyday I have to wake up early for my son’s classes which starts at 8:00 am to 10:00 am. My son still has no yaya that is why I am the one who goes to school with him. I spend my 2 hours everyday in my son’s school and I am fine with it. After school, I spend my whole day in my office, working on some papers and auditing while checking all the remittances for last day’s sales.

But every week I go to the city to do some business with the bank and some business associates. My favorite hangout would be Greenwich. I love Pizza and the table are so big, so I can eat while checking my emails and blog sites.

TNF Headwall – Father’s Day Gift

Last June 19, 2011 was this year’s Father’s Day and after searching high and low for the perfect Father’s Day gift, it came knocking on my email. Fedhz is selling Mike’s TNF Headwall backpack and my bf is planning to buy one. Instead I tell him that he can still use his old backpack though he obviously needs a new one. And then I paid for the backpack and thanks God it arrived on time for the Father’s Day.

Moreover because I am buying it, I tried to check what the features of this backpack are and if ever it is well suited for my dear bf. I found out that it is designed with a padded Airmesh back panel, PE sheet for extra back support and it has two large front pockets. This backpack is very useful for traveling.

Fedhz has sent a pack of polvoron with the backpack, she is full of surprises. Thank you Fedhz for making my day, you know I am an addict for your polvoron.

Weekend Blog Follower Caravan #15

Weekend Blog Follower Caravan again! And of course, this week, we need to FOLLOW other blog sites through GFC. I am joining this one and hoping to get referrals too, there is a little twist in this week’s WBFC. If I can get a lot of referrals, I will win $5 from PinayMommyOnline.

To all participants, welcome to my Fashion and Travel Blog. You can leave your comment here in my welcome post. And to all bloggers who have not joined this caravan yet, please do join and leave a comment telling them that it is I who referred you:)

But first, I need to entice you to join right? As a blogger, I know that it is so hard to get many followers with our GFC, why? because some people don’t know what it is all about and some bloggers are busy with their GFC telling people to follow them. This is an easy way of meeting new friends, blogging friends, and having new blog followers. So that is why you need to join:)

GT: Class Picture

I really, really, really, want to post my class pictures here but I can’t. Why? Well, my two scanners are so dead and I don’t know if it can be fixed. I have so many class pictures when I was in Elementary and High School. I will try to find some College class pictures in my Facebook account in order to share at least one.

First Stop: Blood Compact

My mom is a Boholana that is why I am very familiar with Bohol, I have been to Bohol for a countless times already and I love to visit it every year. Just last May, I have visited Bohol twice, first I was there to attend my cousin’s wedding and just before the month of May ends, I went back together with my loved-ones to visit it and the different tourist spots in Bohol.
First Stop: Blood Compact.

There is no entrance fee for tourists and locals who visit this place. The view is so beautiful, aside from taking your pictures together with the statues; a beautiful view of the beach can also be seen. There is a viewing deck facing the beach. There are many vendors selling gift items for cheap prices. So if you want to buy gifts (“pasalubong”) for your loved ones, better buy here for they sell it at much cheaper price that in other tourist spots.

Afraid of Meniscus Tear

I used to play softball when I was in high school and college, though I am generally not an athlete, I do play during PE and during free times. Just recently I have read about meniscus tear and how it can happen and how it should be treated. As a person who loves to travel, I am really afraid if ever I will experience a meniscus tear but I am glad that there are knee braces for meniscus tears that can help prevent injuries after your knee suffers from a meniscus tear.

If I can avoid experiencing a meniscus tear, I will. But if I can’t then perhaps I’ll apply the alternative.

Tuesday Travels: Bukidnon, my home

Tuesday is once again here and of course I cannot miss the opportunity of writing my entry for Tuesday Travels. The topic for today is your home right now, where you are. And right now, I am in the Philippines, somewhere in Mindanao, actually I am in the heart of the Mindanao.

There are so many places in the Philippines which are beautiful, well developed, have great employment and business opportunities and have a better internet connection(sad face). But then again, I prefer to be here in my hometown, in my birthplace, in Bukidnon.

There are no big malls, tourist spots or even a wifi hotspot here in my place but I am happy and contented. If ever I have visitors, I couldn’t even let them eat in a fine restaurant simply because we don’t have one in our hometown, what I could offer is a cooked meal by my mother. I cannot also let them go window shopping for the fact that we don’t have big malls or small ones but I can bring them to mountains that are overlooking my hometown, and I could let them go fishing in my father’s fishpond near his rice field. There are so many things that people who are living in the city will miss when they are here but there are also things they could here that they could not possibly do in the city.

My hometown is not that remarkable but we are happy and contented living in this hometown that I could not afford to leave it even if there are disability appeal in my place which are or are not approved, I still want to be here. I was born here and I will die here.

This is my share for today’s Tuesday Travels.

Go Karting in Mabolo

Before we left Cebu last May 24, 2011, we went to Mabolo with my cousin Daryl and we had fun Go Karting. It was my first time to try this one out. We had a lecture, about 30 minutes or so, before we are allowed to go inside the racing area. Kids are allowed to Go Kart as long as they can reach the accelerator and brakes and as long as they can manage to drive the wheel. But for those who can’t and wants to ride, there are karts where in a person could another passenger. And this is what we chose for JB to enjoy the ride.
