I am from Mindanao, I have lived all my life in Mindanao. When I was young I dreamed of visiting different tourist spots in my own country because I used to see these beautiful places in my textbooks only. I thought I couldn’t visit such beautiful creations in my entire life and I am happy that I have set foot and took photos with these lovely God’s gifts to us.
Mt Mayon is an active volcano, it can be devastating, and sometimes it is scary, a lot of people have lost their lives when it erupted years ago but still I couldn’t help myself from saying “WOW” to this volcano with a symmetric conical shape.
The entrance fee was 10 or 20php per person. I really couldn’t remember because the only thing I can remember up until now is that when we arrived at the area, the clouds have suddenly make way and show us the beautiful Mt Mayon in all its glory. I can stay all day in the area just watching the beauty that Albay has to offer.
My husband told me a story that Mt Mayon will only show herself when you are beautiful and will be covered with clouds if you aren’t. He was scared at first because he assured me that I am beautiful so he was sure that Mt Mayon will show herself to us but on our way, we can see from afar that the volcano was covered with clouds. He was so happy when we arrived that Mt Mayon showed herself and proved to me that I am, indeed, beautiful.
