Baby Shower

I have been thinking of having a baby shower for so long already but I just don’t know how to do it, I mean what to prepare, who to invite, what to do during the event and everything else. In my lifetime, I have only attended one baby shower and I was late. I wasn’t able to play the games, give the baby gifts on time for every guest to see and I wasn’t able to really enjoy the night with the other guests too.

So when a close friend of mine invited other friends to dine out and have an instant baby shower with me, I didn’t think twice and agreed on it. Even though it is not the typical baby shower which you spend so much money on, I enjoyed it so much. Though we have not ordered and hand out baby shower invitations and we didn’t prepare any baby shower games, we have enjoyed our time together just talking about our children and about ourselves as mothers. I also wasn’t able to give out baby shower giveaways and yes, I forgot to have a baby shower cake, and so I admit I wasn’t prepared but the thing is, everybody enjoyed their time together.

Mommy Ruby gave me Bella’s old clothes as baby gifts and I loved them so much, and Mommy Dharlz gave me a pair of blouses for my baby as gifts too. We shared and munch on Pizza Hut’s delicious Caesar’s salad and Pizza, with a mushroom soup too. We stayed at Pizza Hut for almost 2 hours and thanks God the manager didn’t asked us out of their stores for overstaying. I guess a great BABY SHOWER need not be grand or expensive; you only have to spend it with your good friends and share your mommy stories together.

Rio Verde Floating Restaurant in Bohol

Of course, our river cruise will not be complete without memories, so we took a lot of pictures during our river cruise. This is the Floating Restaurant that we have chosen. The food here is expensive compared to the other floating restaurant they had because according to our guide, this is the special floating restaurant.

This is what will welcome you when you arrive at the place of the Rio Verde Floating Restaurant. This is just 1/10 of my beautiful family.

After eating our eat-all-you-can lunch we enjoyed ourselves listening to the singer who rides with us. He sings a lot of Boholano’s song and I love the one with the lyrics “Kung ikaw inday, mangitag pamanhonon, siguroha baya inday, ang Bol-anon” (Hey young lady, if you seek someone to marry, find a man who came from Bohol). I am not a good at singing so I cannot be a singer maybe I can find another job as document scanning clerk.

Just before we left the beautiful place, we cannot miss to take our pic on the exit. “Salamat Jamo, Balik Balik” means “Thank You so much, Come Back again”.

Tuesday Travels: Macau Bun

When I went to Macau last year I had my picture taken here:

If you are a Korean Boys over Flowers fan and series watcher you probably know that there was a scene in there when Yoon Ji Hoo, best friend of the lead actor Gu Jun Pyo bought a BUN in this place and share it with Geum Jan Di, the lead actress of the series. The tour guide brought us here and let us taste the BUN and yes it is delicious.

Pinutos sa Kanto, Re-Opening

Yesterday, Pinutos sa Kanto had its re-opening. Pinutos sa Kanto is a restaurant located in San Miguel, Manolo Fortich Bukidnon that you don’t want to MISS when you are on your way to Cagayan de Oro or to Davao City. They offer a lot of great food which includes their specialties: Chicken Pinutos, Pork Pinutos and Roast Beef. Aside from their food, the place has a good ambiance and fresh icy cool air.

Beside Pinutos sa Kanto is the Del Monte Club House and Golf Course and I wonder if they have Golf Trophies displayed in there. And because I am from Bukidnon, I am inviting you all to try out Pinutos sa Kanto and try to visit Del Monte Club House if you will pass by in the area.

My Birthday was a Blast

Yesterday was my birthday and we celebrated it at Greenwich, Valencia. We had reservations good for 20 people and I had a BLAST. Though it was my first time to celebrate my birthday in a fast food chain, it was still GREAT. I mean, hey, most of my birthdays are celebrated in our house with so many guests and relatives, but this time it was different.

We had 2 pizza squares (Greenwich Special Overload, our favorite and Ham and Cheese overload), we also ordered 18 – 1pc chicken joy with rice and spaghetti plus 3 tropicoolers for the kids. And while we were eating I have thought about birthday gifts I wish I could receive for my birthday such as a Nikon D7000, a MacBook Pro for a change, and maybe a curt trailer hitches for our trucks/pickups. Yeah, I know, I have those wildest gift ideas.

Though it was not that “bongga”, I could still say that I have enjoyed it. I celebrated my birthday with my family and my boyfriend’s family, and some of our dear friends. What matters most in life is not how much you spend for a party but who you spend it with.

Fanatic Feast

Last week, we dine at Greenwich Valencia and instead of ordering a meal for each of us, we ordered the Fanatic Feast which includes 4 pieces of chicken, 4 serving of rice, spaghetti and 1 liter of Coca-cola for only 500php plus I guess. Then we get a free American Idol CD for ordering the Fanatic Feast.

The CD includes these songs:

*Since U Been Gone – Kelly Clarkson

*Superstar – Ruben Studdard

*Invisible – Clay Aiken

*When I See U -Fantasia

*Before He Cheats – Carrie Underwood

*Takin’ it to the Streets – Taylor Hicks

*Home – Daughtry

*No Air – Jordin Sparks (duet with Chris Brown)

*Light On – David Cook

*Live Like We’re Dying – Kris Allen

*Whataya Want From Me – Adam Lambert

*Sweet Serendipity – Lee DeWyze

GT: I would die for a Lechon right now

I have not eaten my breakfast yet and I am definitely hungry. Right now, I wanted to eat that crispy skin of a roasted pig. Check this little picture here:
Ohhhh, can you imagine yourself, munching those red-crispy skin of the lechon? Because I am salivating right now. This was taken last March 7, 2011 when my little “big” brother celebrated his 22nd birthday. For those who are outside the Philippines right now, I know this is one thing you really missed for being here in the Philippines.

A Gift to Drink For

Last January, I received this belated Christmas gift from a friend. She knows I am a coffee-addict and she wanted me to try this tea out because she said, as I quote her, “It’s a tea but taste like coffee”. So I try it out.

It does look like tea to me, the taste is awesome. Though it doesn’t taste like coffee for me.

Missy Bonbon

This is my new favorite food for the month. Missy Bonbon is only available in Cagayan de Oro City, we don’t have it here in Bukidnon yet but I am hoping (and crossing my fingers) that they will open a store here especially now that I fell in love with it.

My love for Missy Bonbon started when Gerry brought me a pack. He is so sweet for bringing something every time he went to the City.

Davao Escapade

Last January, I went to Davao for a business trip. But of course, I have went to Davao Crocodile Park in order to see the place and the crocs too.

There are so many animals you can see in Davao Crocodile Park and one of them is this Albino Snake that is literally hugging us.

The ticket for the Crocodile Park includes a ticket inside the Davao Butterfly House. Everybody loves butterflies, who doesn’t? I also love them just like Mariah Carey.

And well, before we went home, we didn’t forget to have a taste of the exotic foods available in Riverwalk Exotic Resto just beside Davao Crocodile Park.

The BBQ is awesome. I mean, they are delicious. If ever you can visit Davao City, try it!
