Even though the word Autism is commonly heard, still there are several speculations about Autism and of the people affected by it. In the Philippines, it is estimated that there are around 1 million people living with Autism, yet not everybody can understand what it it’s like. The Autism spectrum Disorder is a condition where a person who is diagnosed with it will not have the same experiences but are noticed by the core symptoms.
Meet Calel, he is a 6-year old who was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) at the age of four. A year ago, he discovered his love for animals and drawing and once he starts on a sketch pad he just cannot stop – his mother Marie, started posting his artwork on Facebook, when a friend commented that if in the case the drawing is produced to be printed on a t-shirt – he definitely would buy.
After a few months, Marie launched Calel’s Wacky Art Shirts for 3 reasons: to help with Calel’s therapy needs, to develop the business to eventually be taken over by Calel (when he gets older) and to spread Autism awareness.
Anybody would know that Occupational aned Speech therapy is costly, plus there are limited specialists in the Philippines. Kids with ASD need to attend SPED (Special Education) classes which can cost up to 60,000Php a year. For every shirt purchased, this will help Calel’s parents to make sure he gets the special treatments that he needs.
Calel’s future is still unclear at the age of 6, he shows signs of progress but it is hard to tell if he will be able to live a normal life or yet alone become employed, if this becomes a success, Calel’s Wacky Art Shirts may become his own business to handle.
With the first batch of t-shirts printed and distributed, people that order have started to ask about Calel and his condition – this helps Marie to talk about Autism and educate them on what Calel and their parents experience day-to-day including the highs and low.
There are so many designs to choose from and each is unique which you will surely love. T-shirt’s come in kids, men and women’s sizes.
Calel’s Wacky Art Shirts are being offered at introductory prizes for the first 100 customers.

Kids are not unlike adults in their appreciation for gifts that are tailored just for them. They like knowing that their presents are one-of-a-kind and unlike anything that their siblings or friend may have received.
When you want to surprise a child in your life, you may want to purchase something that can be engraved with his or her name. You could find the ideal present by selecting a necklace, boys leather belt, locket, or other token that can be engraved with the name and other decorations.
You may have held off buying an engraved gift because you did not want to be charged by the letter. If the child has a name that is rather lengthy, it could cost you more money to have the gift engraved with all of the letters needed in the project.
However, the website does not charge by the letter, which means you can purchase this leather gift without fearing the final cost. The uniform pricing can fit easier into your budget, allowing you to pay one price for the entire present rather than by the letter.
Variety of Designs
The website also offers a variety of designs that can be included with the name engraving. Each child is different in what he or she likes. You can select from leaves, flowers, butterflies, and other designs that can be etched alongside the name. You end up with a gift that is unique and personalized to the child who will receive it.
Before you purchase the belt, it can be important for you to select the right size. You do not want to buy a belt that is too small or too large for the child’s waist. The online sizing chart helps you determine what size to order. It ensures that the belt will fit properly when the child receives it.
Personalized gifts mean a lot to kids who receive them. You can order a leather belt with the child’s name on it by shopping on the website today. You can also choose unique designs to include with it.
How do you celebrate the World Teacher’s Day? I am not a teacher though I when I was younger it was my dream. I know that is was my ambition because I have seen my yearbook during my Preschool Graduation and it was written there. Now I realized that it wasn’t my calling because today I am not a teacher by profession.
I am very active in my children’s school activities because I am the GPTA Treasurer (again) and the SGC Chairperson for this school year. Every year we always celebrate World Teacher’s Day with a theme for our teachers to wear something different from what they usually wear during school days. We used to have a Floral/Hawaiian Theme, we also had Retro/70s Theme and last year we had an all White Theme. And we do not allow the teachers to know what we have prepared for them. The GPTA and SGC officers works hand in hand to provide a surprise celebration for the teachers every year.
This year we asked our teachers to come in their Disney Inspired Costume or Attire. We had a program for the morning, a sumptuous lunch then parlor games for the whole afternoon. Our teachers are so happy during our celebration and we are so glad that they were. We appreciate the hard work that they do every day to educate our children and the children of the next generation.
Before I forget this year’s theme is “Gurong Pilipino; Kaakbay sa Progreso”.
Yesterday, we celebrated Mother’s Day at Steves Grill, Valencia City. There are 365 days in a year and we only thank our Moms for their hardwork in raising us and in taking care of us for one day. When we were young, we don’t celebrate Mother’s Day, I do not know why, maybe because we cannot afford it yet and we (Mama Charito’s Kids) do not have an income yet. But now that we have our own salary and income we always make our Mother feel that she is special to us. We are so lucky to have her as our Mom and her grandchildren are much luckier because they have her.
She is the best mother in the whole world for us because she endured everything just to make us feel loved and to let us have the life we deserve. And on yesterday, we made her feel that she is lucky to have us.
Here are some photos during yesterday’s Mother’s Day Celebration (1. My daughter holding a bouquet of flowers for her grandma and 2. My son holding a cake for his grandma).
Two weeks ago, I was searching online for the perfect gift for my Mom, I was checking out different online stores and shops because it is way much easier and I have lots of choices than visiting different malls. Most online stores and shops has an on-going Mother’s Day SALE so I was enticed to check them all out. I saw these gorgeous skirts and I know my Mom would love to have them on her closet and probably wear it anytime she wants.
HAPPY MOTHER’s Day Mama!!! Thank you for everything, I know these things cannot re-pay the amount of time, effort and love you have given us, but I hope somehow these things make you feel a little bit special.
Tried my luck in sending this photo to Top Gear PH Facebook page last year and I am glad that it is one worthy photo to be posted on their page.
This is not mine, this is my Father’s monster car (which I fondly call it). The sticker Maldito is a sticker given by my brother’s friend and we have a lot of it posted in our cars. All of my brother’s friends had it at the back of their pick-up trucks.
If you will find this photo in Top Gear PH’s Facebook Page you’d probably say that I am one tough lady because I managed to not cry over some hurtful comments posted by other netizens on the photo. Some even thought that I am a transgender. Oh well, you can’t please everybody and just because I have long legs and muscled arms (as what other netizens have noticed) made them think that I am a man. But then again, Thank You TOP GEAR PH for making me famous! just for one day! hahaha
