Pink Fridays : GodMother’s Gift

My daughter’s fairy Godmother gave her a pair of Pink SHOES.

Pink Fridays: Pink Shoes

Pink thoughts for Pink Fridays : Pink Shoes!!!
When I saw this little shoes for babies I suddenly felt the urge to buy it though I know my baby will not be able to wear it after I gave birth to her. She can only wear this one when her feet will get bigger, as now it is so cute and little that even her baby socks fall off her feet.
It is not the typical pink I believe, the color is like an old rose. But still it is under the shade of pink, right? teehee.

Want Shoes?

Any so-called material thing that you want is merely a symbol: you want it not for itself, but because it will content your spirit for the moment.—Mark Twain

Many people are always caught up with the idea of finding pleasure on material and expensive things, which feeds their personal ego and desire. As quoted by Mark Twain, we may not want the material itself, but we wanted to gratify and reward ourselves with these material things in order to vanquish any undesirable emotions and thoughts that disturb us. Not only does it eradicate bad things, but it also boosts one’s self-esteem and confidence in order to feed ourselves with the things we desire most.

As for me, I never had developed any attachment to expensive things that this world has offered. Although, I must admit that I am a materialistic person, but I often do not choose expensive and luxurious materials because I find it impractical. I only buy discounted, brand less, cheap clothes, etc. Nevertheless, among all the things that I have bought and saw on the market, shoes attracted me the most. I find it pleasing and alluring to the eyes, and it feels as if it holds some mystical powers, which brings comfort and warmth to my soul. This is feeling is kind of similar to Mark Twain’s notion; I buy shoes to comfort and satisfy my soul for a moment, may it be in glory or in sadness.

Among all the shoes, I have collected; cheap club shoes have dominated my closet. I seldom go to clubs, bars, or parties, but I find club shoes alluring the most. Maybe it is because I find high heels sexy and seductive.

Close Shoes

I am not a fan of close shoes, flats or with heels because I am more used to wearing my flip-flops and slippers. But last week, I was compelled to buy one because I needed one. We had a meeting at the Coca-Cola New Plant in Villanueva and we are not allowed to enter the Plant if we will not wear close shoes.

So, after buying dresses, I also went shoe-shopping and saw this one:

I think this is not the original one because the price is much lower and I got this in shops along the aisle at Big R. Nevertheless, having this shoe helps me when I have emergency meetings because I always kept this one in the car.

Lacoste Shoes

When I graduated, I lost my interest in wearing shoes because I fell in love with flip-flops. I only wore sandals and open-toes shoes in my office work. After 4 years, I have finally indulged myself into buying a pair of shoes (actually, someone gave it to me but I got the chance to chose the pair).

When we (me and my new-boyfriend) went to Davao for a business trip, he was planning to buy a pair of shoes for himself and when we were inside the store, he told me that he never saw me wearing shoes and decided to buy me one too.

Sandals full of Gem Stones

I am not quite sure what this sandals are called, but it is full of gem stones that is why I prefer to call it as such. Well, my mom went to Cagayan de Oro City last week and brought with her this fabulous sandals. I love them so much because aside from the fact that it fits my feet perfectly, it matches with the bracelet and necklace that my mom gave me when she got home from Davao City. (I will have a different post with regards to the trinkets).

For 389 pesos, I already had a very glamorous sandal to pair with skirts and shorts. Thanks to my mom.
