Fuerteventura: What to Expect on your Holiday

The island of Fuerteventura is one of Europe’s most popular holidaying destinations, and from the glorious sun to the golden beaches, it’s no wonder why millions of tourists visit the island every year. If you’re looking to have a great time in Fuerteventura, then you need to decide what you want out of your time there, especially if you’re travelling with children. Let’s take a look at some of the things to expect when visiting this fantastic island.

The Island

Many people visit Fuerteventura because it’s an archetypal paradise, home to endless sunshine and exciting culture. During the summer months, it is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, however even in the winter months the weather is mild to warm. This means that Fuerteventura is an all-year round destination, and a perfect spot for a family retreat.

As soon as you get off the plane, you’ll be able to see and feel what this island is all about. Crystal blue sea all around pushing on to golden volcanic shores, with hospitable locals at every turn. Sadly, there are no stand-out sites to see on Fuerteventura, however this allows for a truly relaxation-focused holiday. From reading that newly bought novel to topping up your tan, time seems to stop here, so make sure you take advantage of the tranquil surroundings.

Just because Fuerteventura is a relaxing destination however, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t things to do. There are a number of activities to undertake in the glorious sun, and the island is a hotspot for budding surfers and divers. If you’re the adventurous type, why not try some snorkelling in the tropical waters, or get surfing lessons from any of the small business dotted along the beaches. Your children can also enjoy these activities too, as there are also marine fun schools for kids too!

Baku Waterpark

Baku Waterpark is one of the most popular places to visit on the island. Located on the north of the island, families can enjoy over 150,000 square meters of water adventure, from wave pools and Jacuzzis to slides and solariums. There’s also a huge indoor arena, where children can test out their bowling skills, as well as a restaurant that offers some great food!

Parque Natural de Corralejo

This is certainly the most beautiful beach on the island, and because it is protected by the government’s conservation program, its clean sands and perfect waters are a joy to behold. Although it can get a little breezy here, families will be able to enjoy long strolls down the coastline, stopping off at traditional restaurants and coffee houses along the way.

This beach is also a great spot to watch windsurfers, and if you’re looking to relax and recline, there are a number of free loungers to take advantage of. In order to get the best out of your stay on the island, make sure you compare flights to Fuerteventura at Cheapflights.co.uk

Museo Artesania

One of the very few museums on the island, Museo Artesania is the arts and crafts hub of the island. Not only will you be able to watch weavers work on the latest fashions, but visitors can also sample to local cheeses, and even try their hand at making their own! Trying out the local liquor is a popular trend for tourists, and the museum shop houses some of the finest tastes.

A Site to see:Jav Beach Resort & Restaurant

Its summer time of 2013 already and everybody needs a dose of the beach life. We went to Bohol for our Lola Azon’s wake and burial and because we don’t have a house to stay in, some of our relatives checks into the nearest beach resorts in Calape.

We went there for a look and of course we can’t help ourselves from not dipping into the pristine white beach infront of us.

The kids sure love the beach because we don’t have beaches in Bukidnon. They play in the sand and water and they even tried to row the boat without anybody’s help.

Cheap Holidays for the Whole Family

I have been traveling a lot for the past three years within Asian Countries. I have visited Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, I also visited Bangkok and Chonburi in Thailand, I went to Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzen China, and I wanted more. I didn’t realize that traveling can be this addictive.

I was alone when I had my Asian tour, for a change, I am thinking of visiting European countries with my family. I have been thinking about it for a long time already that is why I am saving up for a family vacation that would bring us more closer together. I have been checking out some sites and travel agencies web sites who could offer the best package for a cheap holiday vacation with the whole family. I want to spend my hard earned money to a place that even my children would appreciate visiting. It is stressful and tiresome to book your vacation with different companies, so I am looking for an agency who could offer me a cheap holiday which already includes the airfare, hotel accommodation, car transfers and insurance already.

Another thing is, like any other travelers I am scared of who to trust my money with, so I really appreciate web sites of travel agencies who can prove to me that they are worth my trust and that I am confident to book my next holiday on them.

Turkey Vacation

While reading RD, January 2012 edition, I have realized that Turkey is one great place to travel to. It is a place where the East meets the West. Some people even calls Istanbul as “Europe’s coolest city”.

The author has written travel tips for tourists and guests who would love to visit Turkey or Istanbul. He said that you should not miss Topkapi Palace because they have antiquities and Islamic relics. For eating or dining out, a guest should visit Haci Abdullah for Turkish classics like lamb with eggplant. If you want to enjoy the nightlife, you should check out Ortakoy district for clubs. Of course, a tourist would love to buy gifts for their loved-ones on the way home, so they would need to visit a bazaar and Dhoku is one place to go too.

After reading the article in the Reader’s Digest, I am thinking of visiting Turkey, and of course, I am checking out cheap turkey holidays because I couldn’t afford an expensive one especially if I spend the holidays with my family. Airline tickets, hotels, tours and dining are the things I should prepare my money for. That is why I am glad that there are websites who offers accommodation inclusive of food, and also city tours, plus the airfare for low prices.

Family that Travels together, Stays together

I love to travel, everybody does. Traveling on holidays and vacations is one thing that I would love to do with my family. We have three kids so packing light is not our option, and because we tag them along, I needed a place where I know our kids are safe and will surely enjoy the place.

Before choosing a place for a holiday with my family, I checked it out through their websites. This is one thing I appreciate about internet, different companies are now establishing their own website to attract more clients and customers as well as give their possible clients a view of their products and services. I tried to check out holidays to Lanzarote, because it is one of the most popular destinations in Canary Island. The site that I have visited gives out different insights about the place; they also share a lot of great pictures of the area. Aside from that, the website conveys the different activities possible tourist guests can do when they stay there. They have parasailing, kite surfing and scuba diving which I really want to try out and I believe other guests are interested to do too. They have pristine white sand beaches that we can enjoy swimming with my adorable children. The place is just perfect for a holiday vacation that I want to spend with my family.

Moments with my family are the number one reason why I want to travel with them. This kind of experience let us bridge the possible gaps that our age creates and it also brings us together. I believe that other parents too, wanted to spend their holidays together with their children because it brings them closer together.
