I am from Mindanao, I have lived all my life in Mindanao. When I was young I dreamed of visiting different tourist spots in my own country because I used to see these beautiful places in my textbooks only. I thought I couldn’t visit such beautiful creations in my entire life and I am happy that I have set foot and took photos with these lovely God’s gifts to us.
Mt Mayon is an active volcano, it can be devastating, and sometimes it is scary, a lot of people have lost their lives when it erupted years ago but still I couldn’t help myself from saying “WOW” to this volcano with a symmetric conical shape.
The entrance fee was 10 or 20php per person. I really couldn’t remember because the only thing I can remember up until now is that when we arrived at the area, the clouds have suddenly make way and show us the beautiful Mt Mayon in all its glory. I can stay all day in the area just watching the beauty that Albay has to offer.
My husband told me a story that Mt Mayon will only show herself when you are beautiful and will be covered with clouds if you aren’t. He was scared at first because he assured me that I am beautiful so he was sure that Mt Mayon will show herself to us but on our way, we can see from afar that the volcano was covered with clouds. He was so happy when we arrived that Mt Mayon showed herself and proved to me that I am, indeed, beautiful.
Bangui Wind Farm is located in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. I used to read about the Bangui Windmills in books when I was younger, because it is considered as one of the tourist attraction in the Municipality of Bangui. It is the first wind farm in the Philippines. When I set foot at the place, I was amazed by the wind mill’s size. It was BIG, no, it was HUGE and I was like an ant under it.
I was mesmerized by its beauty. I was so happy that I have visited the place together with my husband and I have finally tick off this place in my bucket list. We brought our own car from Mindanao, so it was easy for us to visit the different tourist’s spots in Ilocos. You don’t have to pay for an entrance fee and there are souvenir shop in the area where you can buy different items such as printed t-shirts, ref magnets and key chains.
My Mom is Boholana so we are obliged to go home every year in order to celebrate my Mom’s hometown Fiesta. But Last April we went to Bohol not to celebrate the Feast of any Patron but to have our vacation. Together with Papa N and the our kids we conquered Bohol for the first time, together. We even surprised Papa N because he didn’t know that his Brother and Sis in law will be with us for our one-week vacation in Bohol.
Of course, if you are in Bohol, you have to try out Loboc River Cruise. You should not MISS IT! The cruise, the food, and the view are simply awesome.
Stylish Voyager visits BOHOL, for the nth time. I will not get tired of traveling to Bohol any chance I get because my mom is from Bohol and Bohol is a beautiful province. I brought the kids with me together with Papa N and let me share with you our photos at Sagbayan Peak.
Sagbayan is a town in Bohol where some of the beautiful Chocolate Hills are located. Sagbayan Peak is a tourist spot where you can view the famous Chocolate Hills. Aside from that, you can have your photos taken with different animals and superheroes, including this Gigantic Dinosaur inside Sagbayan Peak. They have a playground for your kids, a kid’s town where the kids and kids at heart can pose and snap some photos and a mini zipline for free. You only need to pay 50php at the entrance and you can enjoy everything already. They also have a butterfly dome but you need to pay 10php each for entrance fee.
Sagbayan Peak offers good food too, but not that expensive. They also sell pasalubongs. If you have plans of visiting Bohol, include Sagbayan Peak in your itinerary and you will not regret it.
Travel Philippines, Visit Bohol! Do not be a foreigner in your own country.
I made a promise to my family that we will travel the whole Philippines, one place at a time and we started it last year. This year we went to Dapitan City to see what it has to offer. It took us more than 10 hours of travel from our place (Bukidnon) and I was the only one driving the car. But the long hours of traveling paid off when I saw this:
I took that photo using my latest camera, my Fujifilm X10. I am not a good photographer but I hope you can see the beauty of the place with that photo. I took it standing at Dakak restaurant fronting the pristine white beach while we were ordering for our lunch.
My 2 years old daughter just cant help it. She saw a lot of birds so she went out into the white sand beach and chase it off. The view is still pretty awesome and yes the almost 7 hours drive from Cagayan de Oro City is all worth it.
Dakak Beach Resort has a lot of tour packages for those who are into a tight budget and of course they also offer packages for walk-in customers like me and my family. I chose the room and rides package which costs 1,190php per person (minimum of 10) which gave us the Pavilion Room that can accommodate 16 people.
This Package is inclusive of:
-Overnight at FAMILY PAVILION ROOM accommodation
-Roundtrip airport/wharf/resort transfer
-Complimentary use of swimming pools, water slides, beach volley and outside Jacuzzi
So 1,190php per person is not that expensive.
Gloria de Dapitan Fantasyland has a lot to offer too, it is indeed a World Class Theme Park that can be found in Mindanao. Their rides includes but not limited to : old Western train, midi flume ride, tea cups ride, nessie coaster ride, bumper cars, swinger, galleon ride, and the zimmerman ride. They also have different games available to play on and different characters that roam around the theme park. The HORROR House is terrifying and the 5D movie can turn your stomach upside-down.
If I have to give it a score with number 10 as the highest, I would probably give it a perfect 10! We had FUN, we stayed all day in the sun and we enjoyed every single moment of our life when we were in the place. We have traveled a long way from our place but we have discovered different municipalities during our travel.
It is more fun in the Philippines, you don’t need to go out of the country to have a little piece of heaven on earth.
