While reading RD, January 2012 edition, I have realized that Turkey is one great place to travel to. It is a place where the East meets the West. Some people even calls Istanbul as “Europe’s coolest city”.
The author has written travel tips for tourists and guests who would love to visit Turkey or Istanbul. He said that you should not miss Topkapi Palace because they have antiquities and Islamic relics. For eating or dining out, a guest should visit Haci Abdullah for Turkish classics like lamb with eggplant. If you want to enjoy the nightlife, you should check out Ortakoy district for clubs. Of course, a tourist would love to buy gifts for their loved-ones on the way home, so they would need to visit a bazaar and Dhoku is one place to go too.
After reading the article in the Reader’s Digest, I am thinking of visiting Turkey, and of course, I am checking out cheap turkey holidays because I couldn’t afford an expensive one especially if I spend the holidays with my family. Airline tickets, hotels, tours and dining are the things I should prepare my money for. That is why I am glad that there are websites who offers accommodation inclusive of food, and also city tours, plus the airfare for low prices.
2012 holidays are booking up fast. Unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with a summer holiday that falls between June and August. Cheap Cyprus holidays and Turkey holiday deals ensure that whenever you choose to travel you get the best deal on pleasing temperatures, even in the winter.
Cyprus is a year round destination, close to the UK. Although the average temperature can drop to just under 20 degrees C during the winter months of December – February, the weather is pleasant with only a small amount of rainfall.
Families should head to Coral Bay, a quieter resort near to Limassol, with shallow beach waters and sand just waiting to become a knight’s castle. Its handy location means that families can relax away from the hustle and bustle of town, while benefiting from attractions such as Limassol’s Fasouri Water Mania Water Park.
Cultured breaks for couples are best found in Paphos, a little further north than Coral Bay. The walled historical port city is a goldmine for sightseeing enthusiasts. Don’t miss the pure limestone Acropolis or Aphrodite’s legends of Adonis Bath.
Turkey has a similar climate to Cyprus, however offers a very different style of holiday. The Eurasian country offers an eclectic mix of authentic Turkish traditions and contemporary chic complexes.
Whether you want to bathe in the sun, sit by the pool and drink cocktails from the swim-up bar, or you want to explore the Pazar or charming port city of Bodrum, Turkey has so much offer.
Although Cyprus famously has extensive nightlife facilities, it may be surprising to learn that Bodrum is home to many bars and clubs of its own.
Marmaris is perfect for families who simply want to kick back and relax.
