My Classmate’s Wedding

I love to attend wedding events simply because weddings make my heart leap for joy knowing that there are still people, in this day and age, who believes in happy ever after or are still willing to tie the knot and be with someone they love for the rest of their lives. My classmates, John and Phoebe, invited me for their wedding celebration last year and I obliged.

I went to the event wearing this beautiful pink lace-dress and matched it with my open-toes high heels shoes from Payless (which I bought on SALE). I am not a make-up beauty junkee, but I prefer to have a light make up on when attending events. I am glad that I had this make-up for free because my friend who teaches make-up classes needs models for his students. So I got a free make-up session just before the wedding.

John and Phoebe had been college sweethearts and I have seen in my own two eyes their undying love for each other. I am glad that I attended their wedding rites because I know that what they have is true and the only thing missing in their lives are their wedding vows. CONGRATULATIONS John and Phoebe! Thank you for making us believe that true love still exist.

The Wedding Planner (Ultimate)

I am a sucker for WEDDINGS and yes I have said it before, and I will say it again! I love weddings and though I didn’t have my wedding just yet, I love to help my friends prepare for their weddings. I am not your wedding planner next door or your perfect wedding coordinator yet because I am not good at it, I sometimes miss out some things for the weddings so I really need to write or jot down everything to have that perfect wedding for my friend.

But I don’t have to worry no more because I have seen this very helpful Wedding Planner infographics and yes this is a GREAT HELP to everyone who are preparing for their weddings.

Summer Bride!

Every girl has that “Perfect Wedding” thoughts in her mind and I am just one of them. When I was younger, I thought being a “June Bride” is the best that I can get and yet I realized that the month of “June” is common for weddings because a lot of women wanted to be called “June Brides” so now I am thinking of getting married on a summer month for a change.
But of course the perfect wedding will not be perfect without your wedding gown or wedding dress and there thanks Lord that there are a lot of online websites who have great ideas for wedding gowns that the bride could choose from. One of these is bridal shops in Anderson SC which answers all the needs of all bride-to-be’s! They do not only offer bridal wedding gowns but also the dresses for the bridesmaids and the bride’s mothers and all of the entourage as a whole! This is a one stop shop that every bride-to-be needs, having not to look for another store makes your wedding more stress-free and worry-free.
I am not getting married yet, because nobody proposed to me yet, but I know I will in the future so I am keeping this shop bookmarked in here!

June – Wedding Month

Wedding Month is here. Yeah, June is considered a wedding month in the Philippines because many couples are getting married for this month. If I will get married someday, I want to be a June Bride too.

The month of June is named after Juno (a Roman goddess if I am not mistaken), a goddess of love or marriage maybe that is why many couples prefer to get married in June. Let me share with you my top 3 wedding venues:

  1. Church Wedding – yeah, I still want a Church wedding, and the church that I would love to make my vow is located in Bohol. Yeah, I want to say “I do” in an old church that is located in Bohol.
  2. Garden Wedding – garden wedding is “IN”, that is why many hotels are now investing in gardens and flowers which are landscaped by good artists because couples tend to choose those who have different land scape areas, looking out for a hardtop gazebos.
  3. Beach Wedding – I want to have a carefree wedding, wearing only a piece of white summer dress and a pair of flipflops in the beach with my one true love and my family.

Wedding in Hollywood

I cannot count the times that I have attended a wedding, I cannot even count the times that I have been chosen as a part of the Bridal Entourage. At 25, I am still invited to be a bridesmaid in a wedding and I just recently attended a Hollywood Themed Wedding of my cousin.
This is the BEST WEDDING I have ever gone to. Why? Because the gospel chosen during the wedding is best suited for the Church and for the event. The Wedding rites were held at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the gospel was all about the Wedding at Cana.
This is an excerpt of the Gospel:

“THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN
Chapter 2
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
3 When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”
4 (And) Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.”
5 His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.”
6 Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons.
7 Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.
8 Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it.
9 And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom
10 and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
11 Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.”

The Church is a church made for Mary, and so getting wedded there, one must search for a Gospel that is connected with Mary and blended with a wedding story too. So, choosing The Gospel of John is the best.
